Engineering for Kids will be joining us at Park School to offer some amazing one-day-long events for our budding engineers! Kids who join in will be engaged in a variety of hands-on projects and learn basic engineering concepts through cooperative learning and building. So much fun will be had by all!COST PER DAY PER CHILD: $60
Here are the details:MONDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY: Apprentice Engineering
Children in grades 3-5 will be exploring Electrical Engineering and VEX IQ Robotics each of these days. Although the content area is the same, the projects and learning opportunities will be different each day - so join us for one, two, or all three days.APPRENTICE ELECTRICAL:
The curriculum for the Electrical Engineering program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of circuit design, conductors, insulators, building, and maintenance through various hands-on activities. Students will walk away with an in-depth knowledge on basic circuits while making flashlights, bristle bots, and wind turbines!VEX IQ ROBOTICS:
A VEX IQ class is designed to expose students to STEM fundamentals within the context of building a robot. Without even realizing it, students will begin to instinctively apply these lessons to their as they advance through the program. This hands-on process, establishes an intuitive and deep-rooted expertise that simply cannot be replicated by traditional teaching methods.

TUESDAY & THURSDAY: Junior Engineering
Children in grades K-2 will explore and create different inventions as well as learn to build and code LEGO robots each day. Again, although the content area is the same for both days, the projects and learning opportunities will be different each day - so join us for one or both!
JUNIOR INVENTOR'S WORKSHOP: Over the course of the program, students will invent new machines and explore creative design solutions using the Engineering Design Process. Discover all about 2-D animation, simple robotics, and make your won Sketch Bot inside the Engineering for Kids Inventor's Workshop.
JUNIOR LEGO WeDo ROBOTICS-ADVENTURE STORIES: In this program, we will be exploring a variety of coding and technology skills as well as working on group collaboration, critical thinking, and hands-on skills! Children will have the opportunity to build an airplane and sailboat! They also learn how to program and code the projects to move and make noises.
