I can't wait to meet each one of you at Park's Summer Day Camps this summer!!!

My name is Jen and I am thrilled to be serving as the new Camp Director at Park!  So, just a quick background about me...I am married to Nick and we have a 4 year old son, Jacob, and a dog, Phoebe.  We are new to Buffalo, but are not new to camps and working with youth of all ages.  I have spent 15 summers working at camps in pretty much every role from counselor to lifeguard, spending 5 of those years as program director and 6 as the director.  In between, I have also taught every age from preschool through high school and love each age.

One thing I believe is that camp is a magical place.  Friendships are forged over s'mores and soccer.  We get opportunities to try new activities, be creative and grow.  Silliness and fun are a priority while being safe and cared for.  I believe in the power that camp changes lives every day.

For this 83rd summer of Park Camps, I can't wait to continue the magic, to learn the traditions, and keep the fun-meter at the EPIC level.  I want to hear your stories and memories and all of the wonderful parts of Park Camps that make it special to each camper, each parent, and each staff.

Summer can not come soon enough!

Happy Trails to you,
Founded in 1912, The Park School of Buffalo has the distinction of being one the oldest Progressive schools in the country. Park is an independent, co-educational school serving approximately 300 students enrolled in prekindergarten (3 and 4 year olds), lower school (kindergarten through grade 4), middle school (grades 5 through 8), and upper school (grades 9 through 12). Park is uniquely situated on 34 beautiful acres in Amherst, New York. The School’s campus – formerly a farm – includes a pond, marsh, gardens, and a greenhouse while being located just minutes from downtown Buffalo and easily accessible from many communities throughout Western New York. Park’s educational philosophy embraces active, student-centered learning, delivered by exceptional teachers who design and continuously update a robust curriculum. Faculty members approach each student as an individual within the context of a kind and respectful community. From the preschool years through college preparation, The Park School of Buffalo helps learners realize their own unique potentials and prepares them to be confident, successful, life-long learners.
