The prekindergarten program at Park engages children in active learning. During morning Free Play, children are given the opportunity to interact freely with a variety of toys and friends. This is an essential part of our day because many social, academic, and motor skills are developed during this time. Teacher-directed group activities include gathering, calendar, and VIP tell and show. These teacher-directed group times enhance listening skills and expose children to language arts, math, social studies, and science. Songs, stories, and movement are incorporated into many of our lessons. The prekindergarten program allows children to learn in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment.
