  2. Investigate the geography, history, and people of New York State.
  3. Discuss weekly news and current events.

Meet Britton Thomas

Britton Thomas
Britton has taught at Park since 2011. She first worked in the Lower School as a floating teacher. She transitioned to the prekindergarten program as the third teacher in the Bungalow and worked there for 3 years before returning to the Lower School where she is now the grade 4 teacher.

Britton holds a Master's in Literacy Education from the University at Buffalo. She earned a B.S. in English-Creative Writing and holds New York State teacher certifications in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from The College at Brockport. Her professional experience includes scheduling, developing and implementing lessons, assessments, behavior management plans, collaboration and co-teaching, and tutoring. She is also actively involved in learning about and implementing Responsive Classroom practices.

Outside of the school day, Britton coaches the upper school girls lacrosse team. She developed the lacrosse program in 2013.  She co-developed an after-school book club for lower school students to further develop their love for reading. In addition, she works in Park’s extended day program.
