Park School's Hometown Named the Best Place to Live in NYS

The Town of Amherst cited as the best place to live in New York State in Money Magazine report.

Amherst NY, home to The Park School of Buffalo, was named the best place to live in New York State by
Money Magazine in a report published this week.

Head of School Jeremy Besch said, “We have known for decades how wonderful the Town of Amherst is as a place to live, go to school, and work. I’m thrilled that Money Magazine has joined thousands of Park Pioneers in recognizing the many outstanding qualities of our community."

Numerous parks and outdoor spaces, strong educational institutions, cultural organization, quality housing, and low crime rates are just some of the virtues cited in the report. And as we have at Park, the survey also cited the diversity of Amherst as a positive factor in defining what makes a great community.”

Besch welcomed Town of Amherst Supervisor Brian Kulpa to campus today for a tour of The Knopp-Hailpern Science Center which is close to completion. “I was happy to congratulate the Supervisor on the town’s successes, especially this tremendous honor from Money Magazine.”
