Lower School celebrates 100th day of School

The 100th day celebration in the Lower School was filled with fun, creativity and community service.  Each grade level participated in various class activities that engaged the concept of 100.  Our lower school friends explored their number sense with the mathematical power the number 100 has in our world.  In our earliest grades, we counted, sorted, classified and estimated while the older grades examined perimeter, area and volume.  We created t-shirts to display our interpretation of 100 and some friends really got into the spirit of the day by dressing as if they were 100 years old!

Various bulletin boards took the theme of 100 further with thinking about races, world population and acts of kindness.  Lastly, the whole lower school came together as a community to help the Buffalo City Mission by having a drive to collect men's deodorants.  We surpassed our goal of 100 by reaching a total of 160!  Truly a special way to celebrate a milestone day for elementary students!
