Affording Park

The Park School of Buffalo values small classes, an individualized approach to learning, and rigorous, rich curricular and extracurricular opportunities, which help to form our unique identity as a school. We are committed to building a truly inclusive and economically diverse community. However, we recognize that the expense of an excellent independent school education can be challenging for many families.
In fact, no student at The Park School pays 100 percent of the cost of education. Even a “full” tuition finances just 85% of the full cost of educating each student. The rest is supplemented through community-wide support of the Annual Fund, auxiliary fundraising events and activities – such as the Auction, Golf Tournament, Athletic Boosters, Park Parent Association events, faculty and student-led initiatives  and the School’s endowment.
Our Flexible Tuition Program, merit scholarship opportunities, sibling discounts, and Payment Program options make a Park education affordable for many families. The Flexible Tuition Program is an innovative model that moves away from the traditional approach to tuition costs and financial aid, recognizing that many middle-income families who might not expect to be eligible for “financial aid” still qualify for a tuition discount. Park makes a finite amount of tuition discounting available to families that qualify. Approximately 40 percent of current Park families qualify for flexible tuition pricing ranging from families who can afford almost full tuition to those who can afford the minimum level.
